Lora – With All Change Comes Growth
Posted on 20th September, 2016
After opening Experience Health and Beauty 8 years ago, Lora Caven has decided to leave her ownership position at the salon.
What influenced you to take this move?
It’s been 8 years since I started the business, and my life is now in a completely different place. I felt it was time for a change, to focus more on my family and my other business.
What were your initial feelings after deciding to leave the business?
The salon has been a huge part of my life for years, so of course I felt very emotional. It almost feels like moving out of a home and leaving family. However, I am very excited to see how the business continues to develop in the future. With all change comes growth.
What are the next steps for Experience?
I couldn’t be happier that I am leaving what I built in the safe hands of my best friend, Philip. He and I partnered up in ownership of Experience about 2 and a half years ago, so Phil knows the business better than anyone. There are many new, positive changes to come and I am certain Experience will continue to flourish and grow.
Will we still see you around?
Of course! I’ll definitely be holding onto my VIP membership…you won’t get rid of me that easily! I am excited to become a client and see things from the other side of the desk, though I will likely still help out here and there, continuing to support the business.
What is your favourite thing about Experience?
I love that the salon has grown from an idea into a fully functioning business. It couldn’t have happened without the support of many people. I want to thank the EHB team and clients for providing the business for 8 years – I am so grateful to all who are involved in keeping the salon going. With maintaining the values continuing to be at the core of the business, I know it will go from strength to strength through the years to come.
